The 5th race of the Fall indoor was held Nov 19th, 2016. A good turnout and the first clockwise track of the season! These results add to the overall points series HERE!
1/18 Spec B-Main
In the B-Main the top finisher would bump to the A-main, so the racers were doing their best to get that first place spot. Michael fullerton had just finished his spec car build at the track and was working out a few kinks. The car would show some promise but there were enough problems to hold him back to 3rd. He’ll work on it and and come back to finish stronger. Mark Baird ran the spec car in the final and did well with it to place 2nd. Chase McLeod had a good run to finish in the top spot.
In the Spec A-Main there were 6 racers which made for some very tight racing. Gregg got off to a clean start and was able to run clean to take the win. Jeremy had the fastest laps of the day but had trouble with traffic which kept him in 2nd. Mark had a slow start, but managed to catch Jeremy and traded places a few times. After the battle with Jeremy he settled back into 3rd. Kyle had some handling problems which kept him to 3rd. Gordon had some very good qualifiers but got caught up in traffic and had electrical problems which held him to 5th. Chase made the bump up but wasn’t able to keep pace which brought him to 6th.
In Open there was a smaller turnout. Gregg and Michael were running in this class to get some more wheel time and to give Jason and Mark a challenge! In the final Jason, Mark and Michael fought for 1st for the first couple of minutes. Michael then had some car problems which held him back to 3rd. Mark and Jason exchanged 1st a few times before Jason finally took 1st with Mark 2nd. Gregg DNS the final.
