2018 Atlantic Canada Indoor RC Car Championship

This race was held Dec 1st, 2018. In attendance were some of the fastest drivers from New Brunswick and PEI !!! (Nova Scotia drivers missing this year)

The track is a temporary layout using CRC gray carpet at about 80×36 with a nice flow layout with some slow sections to challenge the drivers.

TC 17.5 A-Main: RESULTSVIDEO

1st (TQ): Gregg Lawton, 2nd: Jeremy Sherriff, 3rd: Kyle McKinnon

In 17.5 touring this was a fast race with high quality driving. Kyle got to an early lead and held a 1/2 track gap until a slight bobble dropped him to 4th. Mark took the 2nd position until some contact with Gregg which let Gregg and Jeremy by. Gregg would hold the spot to finish 1st with Jeremy closing fast to finish 2nd. Kyle would regain a position to finish 3rd.

TC 17.5 B-Main: RESULTS

1st(Bump to A): Gordon Mercer, 2nd: Gislain Leblanc, 3rd: Mat Leblanc, 4th William Muirhead

In the 17.5 B-Main, this race would lead to the winner bumping to the A-Main. In this race Gordon would take the lead from the start earning the bump position. Gislain would have a strong race to finish 2nd, with Mat finishing 3rd.

TC Open A-Main: RESULTSVIDEO

TQ: Dave Heacock, 1st: Mat Leblanc, 2nd: Patrick Last, 3rd: William Muirhead

In 1/10 TC Open, we would have an interesting race. Dave, who would take the early lead from the TQ spot, would have mechanical problems early in the race and would have to drop out. Mat Leblanc then made the charge to 1st, and would build a comfortable lead over Patrick who would finish 2nd. William was having a close battle with Zack, but then Zack would also have mechanical issues. William would then finish strong for 3rd.

1/18 Spec Pancar: RESULTS

Presented by: RS3D Designs

1st: Gregg Lawton, 2nd(TQ): Kyle McKinnon, 3rd: Mark McKinnon

In 1/18 spec there were quite a few lead changes with close racing. Kyle would lead the initial laps until Mark made the pass for 1st. Mark would bobble and allow Kyle and Gregg to get by for 1st and 2nd. Kyle and Gregg then chased each other around the track until Kyle got collected in a crash to let Gregg by for 1st. Gregg was able to hold 1st, with Kyle charging into 2nd, and Mark running 3rd.

1/18 Open: RESULTSVIDEO

1st(TQ): Jeremy Sherriff, 2nd: William Muirhead, 3rd: Dave Heacock

In 1/18 Open, Jeremy put on a great performance and lead the race from the start and finished 10 laps up on the field. William was able to get into the flow and finished 2nd. There was a 4 way battle for 3rd with Zack, Dave, Patrick, and Gislain all fighting for the position. Dave was able to make the pass and hold the spot to finish 3rd.
