NOTE: With a tropical storm approaching the event will be held on the rain date July 11th.

The 2021 Maritime RC Racing RedClay Rumble will be a single day race event hosted by the Redclay RC Race club at the offroad track in Stratford, PEI on July 11, 2021. This year there will be 3 separate Maritime RC Racing events rather than a series due to unpredictable travel restrictions.

The RedClay Rumble will be a fun event with lots of prizes, awards for all classes, and Rookie awards for racers new to the Maritime RC Regional races. Hope to see you there!

Depending on the health restrictions near the time of the race the date may be rescheduled or cancelled. Keep an eye in the Redclay group for updates!

Saturday July 10, 2021 (Rain date July 11)

Event Format:

• Practice 8:00 – 11:00
• 11:00-11:15 – Drivers meeting
• 11:30 – Qualifying starts
• Qualifying consists of 3 rounds of 5 minute timed qualifiers
• A racers fastest single qualifier will determine the class TQ and racer start order in the finals
• Finals are expected to begin about 5:00 pm
• Lower finals will be 5 minutes with bump ups to give the opportunity to make the A-Main
• All A-Main finals will be 7 Minutes
• Plaques for top 3 finishers in all mains and finals awarded after the main
• Rookie awards for new racers to the Maritime RC Racing events
• Door prizes for race entries

Location:

The race will be held at the RedClay offroad racing track which is behind the Great Hobbies building at: 17 Glen Stewart Drive, Stratford PEI, C1B 2A8

Classes:

Minimum of 6 racers to make a class. Maximim of 12 racers in a heat, 13 racers will be broken into a heat of 6 and 7.

For this event we will follow the Red Clay Race Club standard classes:

• 1/10 2wd Buggy, open motor, 2 cell lipo
• 1/10 2wd Short Course Truck, open motor, 2 cell lipo
• 1/10 4wd Buggy, open motor, 2 cell lipo
• 1/10 4wd Short Course Truck, open motor, 2 cell lipo
• 1/8 E-Buggy, open motor, 4 cell lipo

Pricing:

The pricing will be the same as the 2020 Maritime Series races.

• The first class will be $20
• The second class will be $5
• And the third class will be $5
• To a max of $30
• Rental transponders are available at the track. RedClay uses a MyLaps RC3 system that uses AMBrc, MyLaps 2 wire, and MRT transponders.

COVID Plan:

With the Covid-19 situation we will be asking everyone to follow a few basic rules.

• There will be a short survey to fill out when you register. It will just be the typical questions we have all been answering the last few months.
• Drivers will have the option of using the stand if they wish to wear a mask or face covering. There will be alternate areas to race from and if you wish to bring a platform it would be encouraged in which a mask would not be required. 
• If more than 1 person is in a tent they will be considered a bubble.
• Tents will be a minimum of 4′ apart.
• Keep 6 foot distancing in mind.
• Gloves will be required when marshaling.
• A porta potty will be on site and racers are encouraged to bring hand sanitizer.
• There will not be a bbq so you will need to bring your own lunch.
